Program
Efficient freight forwarding and cargo transportation, as well as rational logistic solutions play a very significant role in economic development around the world, ranging from raw material extraction and ending with the delivery of finished products to the consumers. But the provision of quality of services depends not only on continuous improvements and finding new solutions, but also on closer cooperation.
That is why JSC “Lithuanian Railways” are organizing international conference called „Project – “Viking”. Intermodal solutions, development and prospects” on 31th March 2011 in Vilnius, Crowne Plaza Vilnius hotel, Sapphire A hall (address: M. K. Čiurlionio str. 84, Vilnius). The conference will be attended by Representatives of the largest and most important transport, logistics, freight forwarding companies and associations , as well as shippers and manufacturers, the delegates from ministries of transport and foreign affairs. We are waiting for the guests from Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Finland, Turkey, Syria and other Eastern and Western countries.
Main objectives of the event – solving issues, related to freight forwarding and transportation between East and West regions of Eurasia, to analyze the opportunities of “Viking” project and further prospects of its development, to set new goals and objectives for mutually beneficial cooperation in the future, to make interesting presentations and discussions.
We believe that the conference „Project – “Viking”. Intermodal solutions, development and prospects” will create favorable conditions for beneficial business contacts, exchanging experiences and new ideas, finding common interests, starting cooperation among companies, etc.
Conference will focus on following questions:
- Freight transportation on East – West direction and through the territory of Lithuania.
- Results of “Viking” project and prospects of its development.
- Opportunities for cooperation in logistic and freight forwarding.
- Companies’ services and projects.
- Etc.
