Container train "Baltic Wind" (Baltijos vėjas)

Lithuanian Railways together with train operator Hoptrans Projects has signed Cooperation Agreement on railways transportation via route: Vilnius–Kostanay. On 25th of September, 2013, the first container block train "Baltic Wind" carrying 42 units of 40' containers (FEU) or 84 units of 20' containers (TEU) was released, transporting motor car bodies and spare parts.

"Baltic Wind" is the sixth container train project carried out through the territory of Lithuania. In the future, it is planned to go once a week and to transport much more various industrial goods.

The train goes at the pre-scheduled time 3 times a month, thus, ensuring attractive prices and timely delivery of cargo. The train travels from Lithuania to Kazakhstan within 4-5 days; since all customs inspections are undergone in Lithuania, the train goes to Kazakhstan hot-shot.
